Related Product Information for CD200 active protein
CD200, also known as OX-2 membrane glycoprotein isoform a, belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. This protein imparts immune privileges by suppressing alloimmune and autoimmune responses through its receptor, CD200R, expressed primarily on myeloid cells. D200 and CD200R associate via their respective N-terminal Ig-like domains. CD200-CD200R signaling have been shown to play an important role in the regulation of anti-tumor immunity, and overexpression of CD200 has been reported in a number of malignancies, including CLL, as well as on cancer stem cells. Studies of the related genes in mouse and rat suggest that this gene may regulate myeloid cell activity and delivers an inhibitory signal for the macrophage lineage in diverse tissues. Elevated expression of this protein has been reported to be associated with poor prognosis in a number of human malignancies. In addition, it also plays an important role in prevention of graft rejection, autoimmune diseases and spontaneous abortion. Recombinant human CD200 protein, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a type I membrane glycoprotein containing two extracellular immunoglobulin domains, a transmembrane and a cytoplasmic domain. This gene is expressed by various cell types, including B cells, a subset of T cells, thymocytes, endothelial cells, and neurons. The encoded protein plays an important role in immunosuppression and regulation of anti-tumor activity. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2016]

Uniprot Description

Costimulates T-cell proliferation. May regulate myeloid cell activity in a variety of tissues.

Product Notes

The CD200 cd200 (Catalog #AAA201326) is an Active Protein produced from Baculovirus and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 31-232aa. AAA Biotech's CD200 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, SDS-PAGE, Bioactivity. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD200 cd200 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: QVQVV TQ DEREQLYTPA SLKCSLQNAQ EALIVTWQKK KAVSPENMVT FSENHGVVIQ PAYKDKINIT QLGLQNSTIT FWNITLEDEG CYMCLFNTFG FGKISGTACL TVYVQPIVSL HYKFSEDHLN ITCSATARPA PMVFWKVPRS GIENSTVTLS HPNGTTSVTS ILHIKDPKNQ VGKEVICQVL HLGTVTDFKQ TVNKG. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD200, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
