This is a rabbit polyclonal antibody against DTNA. It was validated on Western Blot

Target Description: The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the dystrobrevin subfamily of the dystrophin family. This protein is a component of the dystrophin-associated protein complex (DPC), which consists of dystrophin and several integral and peripheral membrane proteins, including dystroglycans, sarcoglycans, syntrophins and alpha- and beta-dystrobrevin. The DPC localizes to the sarcolemma and its disruption is associated with various forms of muscular dystrophy. Mutations in this gene are associated with left ventricular noncompaction with congenital heart defects. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for this gene.

Product Notes

The DTNA (Catalog #AAA3215233) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The DTNA antibody - C-terminal region reacts with Cow, Dog, Guinea Pig, Horse, Human, Mouse, Rat, Yeast and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's DTNA can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DTNA for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Synthetic peptide located within the following region: GATTSTMRGD MVTEDADPYV QPEDENYEND SVRQLENELQ MEEYLKQKLQ. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DTNA, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
