Related Product Information for AG-3/BCMP11/AGR3 recombinant protein
Anterior Gradient Protein 2(AG-2) and Anterior Gradient Protein 3 (AG-3) are human homologues of genes involved in differentiation, are associated with oestrogen receptor-positive breast tumours and interact with metastasis gene C4.4a and dystroglycan (hAG-3 protein). AG-3 could serve as a prognostic marker for survival in patients with low grade and high grade serous ovarian carcinomas.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the disulfide isomerase (PDI) family of endoplasmic reticulum (ER) proteins that catalyze protein folding and thiol-disulfide interchange reactions. The encoded protein has an N-terminal ER-signal sequence, a catalytically active thioredoxin domain, and a C-terminal ER-retention sequence. This gene is expressed in ciliated airway epithelial cells and, in mouse, plays a role in ciliary beat frequency in multiciliated cells. This gene is also over-expressed in breast, ovarian, and prostrate cancers. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2016]

Uniprot Description

Required for calcium-mediated regulation of ciliary beat frequency and mucociliary clearance in the airway. Might be involved in the regulation of intracellular calcium in tracheal epithelial cells.

Product Notes

The AG-3/BCMP11/AGR3 agr3 (Catalog #AAA2552360) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Human Cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is Ile22-Leu166. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Anterior Gradient Protein 3 Homolog/AG-3/BCMP11/AGR3, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
