Related Product Information for RAB11FIP2 blocking peptide
A Rab11 effector binding preferentially phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5-trisphosphate (PtdInsP3) and phosphatidic acid (PA) and acting in the regulation of the transport of vesicles from the endosomal recycling compartment (ERC) to the plasma membrane. Involved in insulin granule exocytosis. Also involved in receptor-mediated endocytosis and membrane trafficking of recycling endosomes, probably originating from clathrin-coated vesicles. Required in a complex with MYO5B and RAB11 for the transport of NPC1L1 to the plasma membrane. Also acts as a regulator of cell polarity.

Uniprot Description

RAB11FIP2: a Rab11 effector protein acting in the regulation of the transport of vesicles from the endosomal recycling compartment (ERC) to the plasma membrane. Also involved in receptor-mediated endocytosis and membrane trafficking of recycling endosomes, probably originating from clathrin-coated vesicles. Binds preferentially to phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5-trisphosphate (PtdInsP3) and phosphatidic acid (PA). Translocates with RAB11A from the vesicles of the endocytic recycling compartment (ERC) to the plasma membrane. Phosphorylation by MARK2 may affect the establishment of epithelial polarity.

Product Notes

The RAB11FIP2 rab11fip2 (Catalog #AAA9225655) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "RAB11FIP2, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
