The glycerophosphodiester phosphodiesterase activity may be required for its role in neuronal differentiation. May contribute to the osmotic regulation of cellular glycerophosphocholine. Belongs to the glycerophosphoryl diester phosphodiesterase family. 5 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
