A test is defined as the amount (ug) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 ul. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal /formance in the assay of interest.

Biological Significance
The HIS52 monoclonal antibody reacts with a molecule expressed on the surface of all rat endothelial cells, also known as Rat Endothelium Cell Antigen-1. The exact nature of HIS52 antigen is, however, not known. HIS52 does not cross react with various species tested other than rat. This antibody is a very useful tool as a specific phenotypic marker for rat endothelium.
