Immunofluorescence (IF) (Fluorescent confocal image of HeLa cells stained with Natriuretic Peptide Receptor C (N-term) antibody. HeLa cells were fixed with 4% PFA (20 min), permeabilized with Triton X-100 (0.2%, 30 min). Cells were then incubated with AP8113a Natriuretic Peptide Receptor C (N-term) primary antibody (1:200, 2 h at room temperature). For secondary antibody, Alexa Fluor 488 conjugated donkey anti-rabbit antibody (green) was used (1:1000, 1h). Nuclei were counterstained with Hoechst 33342 (blue) (10 ug/ml, 5 min). Note the highly specific localization of the Natriuretic Peptide Receptor C mainly to the mainly to the nucleus.)

NCBI Description

This gene encodes one of three natriuretic peptide receptors. Natriutetic peptides are small peptides which regulate blood volume and pressure, pulmonary hypertension, and cardiac function as well as some metabolic and growth processes. The product of this gene encodes a natriuretic peptide receptor responsible for clearing circulating and extracellular natriuretic peptides through endocytosis of the receptor. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Feb 2011]

Uniprot Description

Receptor for the natriuretic peptide hormones, binding with similar affinities atrial natriuretic peptide NPPA/ANP, brain natriuretic peptide NPPB/BNP, and C-type natriuretic peptide NPPC/CNP. May function as a clearance receptor for NPPA, NPPB and NPPC, regulating their local concentrations and effects. May regulate diuresis, blood pressure and skeletal development. Does not have guanylate cyclase activity.

Product Notes

The NPRC npr3 (Catalog #AAA6489409) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Natriuretic Peptide Receptor C, NT (NPRC, NPR-C, Atrial Natriuretic Peptide Receptor Type C, ANP-C, ANPRC, ANPR-C, Atrial Natriuretic Peptide Receptor 3, NPR3, Atrial Natriuretic Peptide Clearance Receptor) (FITC) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Natriuretic Peptide Receptor C can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), FLISA, Western Blot (WB). IHC: 1:50-1:100 FLISA: 1:1,000 WB: 1:100-1:500 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NPRC npr3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Natriuretic Peptide Receptor C, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
