Intended Uses: This sandwich kit is for the accurate quantitative detection of Mouse Atrial Natriuretic Peptide Receptor 3 (also known as NPR3 ) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, cell lysates, tissue homogenates.

Principles of the Assay: This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay ( ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with Mouse NPR3 antibody. NPR3 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Mouse NPR3 Antibody is added and binds to NPR3 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated NPR3 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Mouse NPR3. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes one of three natriuretic peptide receptors. Natriutetic peptides are small peptides which regulate blood volume and pressure, pulmonary hypertension, and cardiac function as well as some metabolic and growth processes. The product of this gene encodes a natriuretic peptide receptor responsible for clearing circulating and extracellular natriuretic peptides through endocytosis of the receptor. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Feb 2011]

Uniprot Description

Receptor for the natriuretic peptide hormones, binding with similar affinities atrial natriuretic peptide NPPA/ANP, brain natriuretic peptide NPPB/BNP, and C-type natriuretic peptide NPPC/CNP. May function as a clearance receptor for NPPA, NPPB and NPPC, regulating their local concentrations and effects. May regulate diuresis, blood pressure and skeletal development. Does not have guanylate cyclase activity.

Product Notes

The Mouse NPR3 npr3 (Catalog #AAA166326) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA166326 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse NPR3. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Atrial natriuretic peptide receptor 3, NPR3, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
