Related Product Information for anti-COL12 antibody
This gene encodes a member of the C-lectin family, proteins that possess collagen-like sequences and carbohydrate recognition domains. This protein is a scavenger receptor, a cell surface glycoprotein that can bind to carbohydrate antigens on microorganisms facilitating their recognition and removal. In addition, these receptors can recognize oxidized phospholipids so they may also participate in removing oxidatively damaged or apoptotic cells.

NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the C-lectin family, proteins that possess collagen-like sequences and carbohydrate recognition domains. This protein is a scavenger receptor, a cell surface glycoprotein that displays several functions associated with host defense. It can bind to carbohydrate antigens on microorganisms, facilitating their recognition and removal. It also mediates the recognition, internalization, and degradation of oxidatively modified low density lipoprotein by vascular endothelial cells. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2011]
Product Notes
The COL12 colec12 (Catalog #
AAA6287572) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The COL12, NT (COLEC12, CLP1, NSR2, SCARA4, SRCL, Collectin-12, Collectin placenta protein 1, Nurse cell scavenger receptor 2, Scavenger receptor class A member 4, Scavenger receptor with C-type lectin) (Biotin) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's COL12 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the COL12 colec12 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of
"COL12, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of
the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always
suggest centrifuging these vials
to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to
opening. Please be advised that
certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an
additional dry ice fee may also be
required.
