Rat anti-Mouse CD14 Monoclonal Antibody | anti-CD14 antibody
CD14, Mouse, mAb Sa14-2
For unit size 0.5 mg or larger: PBS only (concentration< 0.5mg/ml)
CD14 is also expressed in a soluble form (sCD14). sCD14 may result from secretion of the protein before coupling to the GPI anchor or from shedding or cleavage from the surface of monocytes. sCD14 is present in the circulation and other body fluids and levels of sCD14 in plasma increase during inflammation and infection. CD14 is a molecule with a broad range of functions. In addition to functioning as a pattern recognition receptor for a variety of microbial ligands, CD14 also acts as a receptor for endogenous molecules like intercellular adhesion molecule (ICAM)-3 on the surface of apoptotic cells, amyloid peptid, ceramide, and urate crystals. Ligation of CD14 by these ligands, except for apoptotic cells, mediates activation of inflammatory responses.

NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
Coreceptor for bacterial lipopolysaccharide. In concert with LBP, binds to monomeric lipopolysaccharide and delivers it to the LY96/TLR4 complex, thereby mediating the innate immune response to bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS). Acts via MyD88, TIRAP and TRAF6, leading to NF-kappa-B activation, cytokine secretion and the inflammatory response. Acts as a coreceptor for TLR2:TLR6 heterodimer in response to diacylated lipopeptides and for TLR2:TLR1 heterodimer in response to triacylated lipopeptides, these clusters trigger signaling from the cell surface and subsequently are targeted to the Golgi in a lipid-raft dependent pathway. Binds electronegative LDL (LDL-) and mediates the cytokine release induced by LDL- ().

Product Notes
The CD14 cd14 (Catalog #AAA584042) is an Antibody produced from Rat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CD14, Mouse, mAb Sa14-2 reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD14 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytomery(FC/FACS), FS, Immunofluorescence (IF), Western Blot (WB). Application Use: For immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry and Western blotting, dilutions to be used depend on detection system applied. It is recommended that users test the reagent and determine their own optimal dilutions. The typical starting working dilution is 1:50. For functional studies, in vitro dilutions have to be optimized in user’s experimental setting. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD14 cd14 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD14, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
