Related Product Information for anti-CD180 antibody
Product Description: Radioprotective 105 (RP105, CD180) is a type 1 transmembrane protein of 105 kDa with extracellular leucine-rich repeats (LLRs) and a short cytoplasmic tail. RP105, assigned as CD180, is similar to Drosophila Toll in the extracellular LLRs. Radioprotective 105 (RP105, CD180) expression is largely restricted to immune cells including CD19+ B cells and macrophages. Histological studies showed that RP105 is expressed mainly on mature B cells in mantle zones. Antibody-mediated (RP/14) cross-linking of RP105 induces resistance against irradiation-induced apoptosis, B-cell proliferation, and up-regulation of a costimulatory molecule B7.2, revealing RP105 as a potent regulator of B-cell activation. RP105 (CD180) has an important role in B-cell activation by LPS. It is important to note that RP105 associates with MD1, which is in this context important for RP105 with respect to B-cell surface expression and LPS recognition and signalling. MD-1 seems to be requisite for efficient expression of RP105.

NCBI Description

CD180 is a cell surface molecule consisting of extracellular leucine-rich repeats (LRR) and a short cytoplasmic tail. The extracellular LRR is associated with a molecule called MD-1 and form the cell surface receptor complex, RP105/MD-1. It belongs to the family of pathogen receptors, Toll-like receptors (TLR). RP105/MD1, by working in concert with TLR4, controls B cell recognition and signaling of lipopolysaccharide (LPS), a membrane constituent of Gram-negative bacteria. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

CD180: May cooperate with MD-1 and TLR4 to mediate the innate immune response to bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS) in B-cells. Leads to NF-kappa-B activation. Also involved in the life/death decision of B-cells. Belongs to the Toll-like receptor family.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 5q12

Cellular Component: integral to membrane; plasma membrane

Biological Process: positive regulation of lipopolysaccharide-mediated signaling pathway; innate immune response; inflammatory response; B cell proliferation during immune response

Product Notes

The CD180 cd180 (Catalog #AAA584021) is an Antibody produced from Rat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CD180, Mouse, mAb RP/14 reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD180 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), FS. Application Notes: For flow cytometry, dilutions to be used depend on detection system applied. It is recommended that users test the reagent and determine their own optimal dilutions. The typical starting working dilution is 1:50. Application Use: For flow cytometry, dilutions to be used depend on detection system applied. It is recommended that users test the reagent and determine their own optimal dilutions. The typical starting working dilution is 1:50. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD180 cd180 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD180, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
