For optimal storage, aliquot target into smaller quantities after centrifugation and store at recommended temperature.
For most favorable performance, avoid repeated handling and multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
Scientific Background: NDR2 or Nuclear Dbf2-related protein is a serine/threonine kinase in the subgroup of the AGC kinase family. NDR2 is regulated by Mob proteins and is also known as serine/threonine kinase 38 like (STK38L) (1). NDR2 act as novel pro-apoptotic kinase that is activated by RASSF1A/MST1 in response to Fas receptor stimulation and promotes apoptosis (2). NDR2 is mainly involved in the regulation of structural processes in differentiating and mature neuronal cells and it is highly expressed with highest levels observed in the thymus (3).
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
NDR2: a non-receptor S/T kinase of the AGC group. Activated by binding of S100B which releases autoinhibitory N-lobe interactions, enabling ATP to bind followed by autophosphorylation of a serine in the kinase domain. A threonine in the C-terminal domain then undergoes calcium-dependent phosphorylation by an upstream kinase. Interactions between the phosphorylated threonine and the N-lobe promote additional structural changes that complete the activation of the kinase. Autoinhibition is also released by the binding of MOB1/MOBKL1A and MOB2/HCCA2 to the N-terminal of STK38L. May be involved in the regulation of structural processes in neuronal cells.

Product Notes
The NDR2 stk38l (Catalog #AAA515691) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Sf9 insect cells using baculovirus and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is Full Length. AAA Biotech's NDR2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Kinase Assay, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NDR2 stk38l for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NDR2, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
