Human STAT3 (Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription 3) CLIA Kit
Principle of the Assay: This kit uses Sandwich-CLIA as the method. The micro CLIA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to STAT3. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro CLIA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for STAT3 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain STAT3, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear fluorescence. The Relative light unit (RLU) value is measured spectrophotometrically by the Chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer. The RLU value is positively associated with the concentration of STAT3. You can calculate the concentration of STAT3 in the samples by comparing the RLU value of the samples to the standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
transcription factor that plays a role in induction of gene expression during acute phase response [RGD, Feb 2006]
Uniprot Description
STAT3: transcription factor of the STAT family. Phosphorylated and activated by receptor-associated kinases downstream of many cytokines and growth-factor receptors. Constitutively active in a number of human tumors. Forms homo- or heterodimers that translocate into the nucleus where they regulate transcription. Two alternatively spliced isoforms have been described.

Product Notes
The Human STAT3 stat3 (Catalog #AAA2532069) is a CLIA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2532069 CLIA Kit recognizes Human STAT3. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "STAT3 (Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription 3), CLIA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
