Related Product Information for ADCY1 elisa kit
Intended Uses: This ELISA kit applies to the in vitro quantitative determination of Rabbit ADCY1 concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to ADCY1. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for ADCY1 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain ADCY1, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of ADCY1. You can calculate the concentration of ADCY1 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the of adenylate cyclase gene family that is primarily expressed in the brain. This protein is regulated by calcium/calmodulin concentration and may be involved in brain development. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2013]

Uniprot Description

ADCY1: a calmodulin-sensitive adenylyl cyclase expressed in brain. The mouse protein is involved in pattern formation of the brain. May be involved in regulatory processes in the central nervous system. It may play a role in memory acquisition and learning.

Product Notes

The Rabbit ADCY1 adcy1 (Catalog #AAA2515348) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2515348 ELISA Kit recognizes Rabbit ADCY1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ADCY1, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
