NCBI Description

The WNT gene family consists of structurally related genes which encode secreted signaling proteins. These proteins have been implicated in oncogenesis and in several developmental processes, including regulation of cell fate and patterning during embryogenesis. This gene is a member of the WNT gene family. It encodes a protein which shows 97%, 85%, and 63% amino acid identity with mouse, chicken, and Xenopus Wnt11 protein, respectively. This gene may play roles in the development of skeleton, kidney and lung, and is considered to be a plausible candidate gene for High Bone Mass Syndrome. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

WNT11: Ligand for members of the frizzled family of seven transmembrane receptors. Probable developmental protein. May be a signaling molecule which affects the development of discrete regions of tissues. Is likely to signal over only few cell diameters. Belongs to the Wnt family.

Product Notes

The WNT11 wnt11 (Catalog #AAA2097051) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Biotin-Linked Polyclonal Antibody to Wingless Type MMTV Integration Site Family, Member 11 (WNT11) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Wingless Type MMTV Integration Site Family, Member 11 (WNT11) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the WNT11 wnt11 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Wingless Type MMTV Integration Site Family, Member 11 (WNT11), Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
