Related Product Information for anti-SAP102 antibody
Synapse-associated protein (SAP) 102 is a member of the membrane-associated guanylate kinase protein family and is a homolog of the Drosophila dis large tumor suppressor protein. SAP102 has extensive sequence homology with the PSD95 family of proteins that facilitate ion channel clustering at synaptic terminals. SAP102 consists of three 90 amino acid PDZ domains at its amino terminus, a Src homology 3 domain, and a guanylate kinase domain. All three PDZ domains of SAP102 participate in binding to the NMDA receptor, interacting specifically with the carboxy-terminal domain of the N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor 2B (NR2B). SAP102 also interacts with synaptic ras-GTPase acativating protein synGAP through its PDZ domains.

Uniprot Description

DLG3: Required for learning most likely through its role in synaptic plasticity following NMDA receptor signaling. Interacts through its PDZ domains with NETO1, GRIN2B and SYNGAP1. Interacts through its guanylate kinase-like domain with DLGAP1, DLGAP2, DLGAP3 and DLGAP4. Interacts through its PDZ domains with APC. Interacts through its first two PDZ domains with ERBB4. Interacts through its third PDZ domain with NLGN1, and probably with NLGN2 and NLGN3. Interacts with FRMPD4 (via C-terminus). Interacts with LRFN1, LRFN2 and LRFN4. Belongs to the MAGUK family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The SAP102 dlg3 (Catalog #AAA190540) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 1-120. The Anti-SAP102 Monoclonal reacts with Human, mouse, rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's SAP102 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunoblot. Immunoblotting: use at 1ug/ml. A band of 105kDa is detected. This is a recommended concentration. User should determine optimal concentrations for their application. Positive control: Rat brain lysate. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SAP102 dlg3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SAP102, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
