Description: Rabbit IgG polyclonal antibody for RANK/Tnfrsf11a detection. Tested with WB, FCM, Direct ELISA in Mouse; Rat.

Background: Receptor activator of nuclear factor kappa B (RANK), also known as TRANCE receptor or TNFRSF11A, is a member of the tumor. It is mapped to 1; 1 E2.1. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the TNF-receptor superfamily. This receptors can interact with various TRAF family proteins, through which this receptor induces the activation of NF-kappa B and MAPK8/JNK. This receptor and its ligand are important regulators of the interaction between T cells and dendritic cells. This receptor is also an essential mediator for osteoclast and lymph node development. Mutations at this locus have been associated with familial expansile osteolysis, autosomal recessive osteopetrosis, and Paget disease of bone. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described for this locus.

Uniprot Description

TNFRSF11A: Receptor for TNFSF11/RANKL/TRANCE/OPGL; essential for RANKL-mediated osteoclastogenesis. Involved in the regulation of interactions between T-cells and dendritic cells. Binds to the clefts between the subunits of the TNFSF11 ligand trimer to form a heterohexamer. Interacts with TRAF1, TRAF2, TRAF3, TRAF5 and TRAF6. Interacts (via cytoplasmic domain) with GAB2. Ubiquitous expression with high levels in skeletal muscle, thymus, liver, colon, small intestine and adrenal gland.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral

Cellular Component: cell surface; membrane; integral to membrane; plasma membrane; external side of plasma membrane

Product Notes

The Tnfrsf11a tnfrsf11a (Catalog #AAA1752963) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-RANK/Tnfrsf11a Antibody reacts with Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's RANK/Tnfrsf11a can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Direct ELISA (EIA). WB: 0.25-0.5ug/ml (Mouse, Rat) FC/FACS: 1-3ug/1x106 cells (Mouse, Rat) Direct ELISA: 0.1-0.5ug/ml (Mouse) Tested Species: In-house tested species with positive results. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Tnfrsf11a tnfrsf11a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "RANK/Tnfrsf11a, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
