Solubility
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Eotaxin Recombinant in sterile distilled H2O not less than 100 ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Biological Activity
Fully biologically active when compared to standard. The biological activity determined by a chemotaxis bioassay using human peripheral blood eosinophils is in a concentration range of 0.1-10.0 ng/ml corresponding to a specific activity of 1.0 x 10^5 - 1.0 x 10^7 IU/mg.
Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized Eotaxin although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution Eotaxin should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C.
For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
