Related Product Information for DsbE recombinant protein
Description: Recombinant DsbE produced in E Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 161 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 18.1 kDa. DsbE is purified by conventional chromatography techniques.

Introduction: DsbE is a reducing Dsb protein involved in electron transfer for cytochrome c maturation in the periplasm of Escherichia coli. DsbE is one of 12 proteins required for their assembly in the periplasm. DsbE functions is to decrease disulphide bonds formed among correctly paired cysteine residues in the cytochrome c apoproteins prior to haem attachment by CcmF and CcmH.

NCBI Description

CcmG (dsbE) is located in periplasm, anchored to membrane. [More information is available at EcoGene: EG12053]. CcmG is a membrane protein component of the CcmEFGH holocytochrome c synthetase. [More information is available at EcoCyc: EG12053].

Uniprot Description

Involved in disulfide bond formation. Catalyzes a late, reductive step in the assembly of periplasmic c-type cytochromes, probably the reduction of disulfide bonds of the apocytochrome c to allow covalent linkage with the heme. Possible subunit of a heme lyase. DsbE is maintained in a reduced state by DsbD.

Product Notes

The DsbE dsbe (Catalog #AAA143641) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The amino acid sequence is listed below: MRNAEGDDPT NLESALIGKP VPKFRLESLD NPGQFYQADV LTQGKPVLLN VWATWCPTCR AEHQYLNQLS AQGIRVVGMN YKDDRQKAIS WLKELGNPYA LSLFDGDGML GLDLGVYGAP ETFLIDGNGI IRYRHAGDLN PRVWEEEIKP LWEKYSKEAA Q. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Thiol Disulfide Interchange, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
