RNA Interference (RNAi)
Quality Control
Oligonucleotide synthesis is monitored base by base through trityl analysis to ensure appropriate coupling efficiency. The oligo is subsequently purified by affinity-solid phase extraction. The annealed RNA duplex is further analyzed by mass spectrometry to verify the exact composition of the duplex. Each lot is compared to the previous lot by mass spectrometry to ensure maximum lot-to-lot consistency.
Directions for Use
We recommends transfection with 100 nM siRNA 48 to 72 hours prior to cell lysis. Before resuspending, briefly centrifuge the tube to ensure the lyophilized siRNA is at the bottom of the tube. Resuspend the siRNA oligos to an appropriate concentration with DEPC water. For each vial, suitable for 250 transfections in 24 well plate (20 pmol for each well).
Components
We offer pre-designed sets of 3 different target-specific siRNA oligo duplexes of mouse ZBTB24 gene. Each vial contains 5 nmol of lyophilized siRNA. The duplexes can be transfected individually or pooled together to achieve knockdown of the target gene, which is most commonly assessed by qPCR or western blot. Our siRNA oligos are also chemically modified (2'-OMe) at no extra charge for increased stability and enhanced knockdown in vitro and in vivo.
Preparation and Storage
Shipped at 4 degree C. Store at -20 degree C for one year.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a protein containing eight C2H2-type zinc fingers and a BTB domain. Expression of this gene is induced by bone morphogenetic protein-2 signaling. Mutation of the related gene in humans causes immunodeficiency-centromeric instability-facial anomalies syndrome-2. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2013]

Uniprot Description

ZBTB24: May be involved in BMP2-induced transcription. Defects in ZBTB24 are the cause of immunodeficiency- centromeric instability-facial anomalies syndrome type 2 (ICF2). A rare disorder characterized by a variable immunodeficiency resulting in recurrent infections, facial anomalies, and branching of chromosomes 1, 9, and 16. Other variable symptoms include growth retardation, failure to thrive, and psychomotor retardation. Laboratory studies show limited hypomethylation of DNA in a small fraction of the genome in some, but not all, patients. Belongs to the krueppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: C2H2-type zinc finger protein

Cellular Component: nucleus

Molecular Function: DNA binding; nucleic acid binding; metal ion binding; transcription factor activity

Biological Process: transcription, DNA-dependent; regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; hemopoietic progenitor cell differentiation

Product Notes

The ZBTB24 zbtb24 (Catalog #AAA8226196) is a siRNA produced from Synthetic and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ZBTB24 siRNA (Mouse) reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ZBTB24 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, RNA Interference (RNAi). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ZBTB24 zbtb24 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ZBTB24, siRNA" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
