BNIP3 blocking peptide
BNIP3 Blocking Peptide
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene is a member of the BCL2/adenovirus E1B 19 kd-interacting protein (BNIP) family. It interacts with the E1B 19 kDa protein, which protects cells from virally-induced cell death. The encoded protein also interacts with E1B 19 kDa-like sequences of BCL2, another apoptotic protector. This protein contains a BH3 domain and a transmembrane domain, which have been associated with pro-apoptotic function. The dimeric mitochondrial protein encoded by this gene is known to induce apoptosis, even in the presence of BCL2. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2011]
Uniprot Description
BNIP3: Apoptosis-inducing protein that, which can overcome BCL2 suppression. May play a role in repartitioning calcium between the two major intracellular calcium stores in association with BCL2. Homodimer. Binds to BCL2. Interacts with BNIP3L and ACAA2. Also can interact with adenovirus E1B 19 kDa protein or Epstein-Barr virus BHRF1. Belongs to the NIP3 family.

Product Notes
The BNIP3 bnip3 (Catalog #AAA824362) is a Blocking Peptide produced from Synthetic and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The BNIP3 Blocking Peptide reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's BNIP3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Blocking (BL). Blocking Peptide to the diluted primary antibody in a molar ratio of 10:1 (peptide to antibody) and incubate the mixture at 4 degree C for overnight or at room temperature for 2 hours. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the BNIP3 bnip3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "BNIP3, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
