Canine Signal Transducer And Activator Of Transcription 3 ELISA Kit
Principle of the Assay: STAT3 ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing an anti-STAT3 antibody and an STAT3-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with STAT3-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the STAT3 concentration since STAT3 from samples and STAT3-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-STAT3 antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by STAT3 from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind STAT3-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The STAT3 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
STAT3: transcription factor of the STAT family. Phosphorylated and activated by receptor-associated kinases downstream of many cytokines and growth-factor receptors. Constitutively active in a number of human tumors. Forms homo- or heterodimers that translocate into the nucleus where they regulate transcription. Two alternatively spliced isoforms have been described.

The Canine STAT3 stat3 (Catalog #AAA735481) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA735481 ELISA Kit recognizes Canine STAT3. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Signal Transducer And Activator Of Transcription 3, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
