Application Notes
As a marker of iron deficiency anemia to differentiate it from anemia of chronic disease, in biochemical studies of TfR, as calibrator or standard in immunoassays, immunogen for antibody production.
Preparation and Storage
Store at -20°C in lyophilized form (-15 to -30°C allowed).
After reconstitution protein solution should be stored at -70°C (-65 to -80°C allowed).
Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
It is recommended to aliquot the product after reconstitution.
To prepare diluted samples of sTfR it is recommended to use 10 mM Tris-HCl, 0.15 M NaCl, pH 8.0 and 5 % D-mannitol, 0.1% CHAPS. Such samples should be frozen until use.
Do not freeze after reconstitution, if concentration is below 0.1 mg/ml.
After reconstitution protein solution should be stored at -70°C (-65 to -80°C allowed).
