Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

Related Product Information for DAPK1 elisa kit
The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Death Associated Protein Kinase 1 (DAPK1). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Death Associated Protein Kinase 1 (DAPK1). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Death Associated Protein Kinase 1 (DAPK1), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Death Associated Protein Kinase 1 (DAPK1) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

Death-associated protein kinase 1 is a positive mediator of gamma-interferon induced programmed cell death. DAPK1 encodes a structurally unique 160-kD calmodulin dependent serine-threonine kinase that carries 8 ankyrin repeats and 2 putative P-loop consensus sites. It is a tumor suppressor candidate. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2013]

Uniprot Description

DAPK1: a CAMK protein kinase of the Death-associated protein kinase (DAPK) family. Mediates autophagy and is a positive mediator of ER stress-induced and gamma-interferon induced programmed cell death. Catalytic activity is increased by ER stress. Inhibited by autophosphorylation of S308. DAPK -/- cells are protected from ER stress-induced cell death, and both apoptosis and autophagy are decreased. Colocalizes with the actin filament system. It is a tumor suppressor candidate, activating p53-dependent apoptosis. Expression is reduced in some cancers, and the promoter is frequently hypermethylated in invasive cancers. Increased expression and mislocalization is seen in epilepsy, where it may regulate neuronal death. A structurally unique serine-threonine kinase that carries eight ankyrin repeats and two putative P-loop consensus sites. Two isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The Mouse DAPK1 dapk1 (Catalog #AAA2019499) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2019499 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse DAPK1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Death Associated Protein Kinase 1 (DAPK1), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
