Uniprot Description

SLAP: Adapter protein, which negatively regulates T-cell receptor (TCR) signaling. Inhibits T-cell antigen-receptor induced activation of nuclear factor of activated T-cells. Involved in the negative regulation of positive selection and mitosis of T-cells. May act by linking signaling proteins such as ZAP70 with CBL, leading to a CBL dependent degradation of signaling proteins.

Protein type: Adaptor/scaffold

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 8q24

Cellular Component: endosome

Molecular Function: protein binding; SH3/SH2 adaptor activity

Biological Process: positive regulation of signal transduction

Product Notes

The SLA sla (Catalog #AAA5304501) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E.coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SLA, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
