Related Product Information for SH2D1B recombinant protein
SH2D1B, also known as SH2 domain-containing protein 1B, is one of the proteins which activate NK cells. It plays a role in controlling signal transduction through at least four receptors, CD84, SLAMF1, LY9 and CD244, expressed on the surface of professional antigen-presenting cells. Two isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing. Recombinant human SH2D1B protein, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.

NCBI Description

By binding phosphotyrosines through its free SRC (MIM 190090) homology-2 (SH2) domain, EAT2 regulates signal transduction through receptors expressed on the surface of antigen-presenting cells (Morra et al., 2001 [PubMed 11689425]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008]

Uniprot Description

Cytoplasmic adapter regulating receptors of the signaling lymphocytic activation molecule (SLAM) family such as CD84, SLAMF1, LY9 and CD244 (PubMed:11689425). In SLAM signaling seems to cooperate with SH2D1A/SAP. Plays a role in regulation of effector functions of natural killer (NK) cells by controlling signal transduction through CD244/2B4 without effecting its tyrosine phosphorylation; downstream signaling involves PLCG1 and ERK activation (PubMed:24687958). Activation of SLAMF7-mediated NK cell function does not effect receptor tyrosine phosphorylation but distal signaling (). In the context of NK cell-mediated cytotoxicity does not enhance conjugate formation with target cells but stimulates polarization of the microtubule-organizing center and cytotoxic granules toward the NK cell synapse (PubMed:24687958). Negatively regulates CD40-induced cytokine production in dendritic cells downstream of SLAM family receptors probably by inducing activation of the PI3K pathway to inhibit p38 MAPK and JNK activation ().

Product Notes

The SH2D1B sh2d1b (Catalog #AAA206707) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Baculovirus and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The tag for this protein is His-tag. AAA Biotech's SH2D1B can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, SDS-PAGE. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SH2D1B sh2d1b for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: ADPMDLPYYH GRLTKQDCET LLLKEGVDGN FLLRDSESIP GVLCLCVSFK NIVYTYRIFR EKHGYYRIQT AEGSPKQVFP SLKELISKFE KPNQGMVVHL LKPIKRTSPS LRWRGLKLEL ETFVNSNSDY VDVLPHHHHH H. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SH2D1B, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
