Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

Related Product Information for FOXO1 elisa kit
The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Forkhead Box Protein O1 (FOXO1). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Forkhead Box Protein O1 (FOXO1). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Forkhead Box Protein O1 (FOXO1), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Forkhead Box Protein O1 (FOXO1) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

This gene belongs to the forkhead family of transcription factors which are characterized by a distinct forkhead domain. The specific function of this gene has not yet been determined; however, it may play a role in myogenic growth and differentiation. Translocation of this gene with PAX3 has been associated with alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

FOXO1A: a transcription factor of the forkhead family. A central regulator of metabolism in several cell types. May play an important role in myogenic growth and differentiation, and in the regulation of lipolysis in adipocytes by controlling the expression of adipose triglyceride lipase (ATGL), the rate-limiting lipolytic enzyme. Translocation of this gene with PAX3 has been associated with alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma. Contains 1 fork-head domain.

Product Notes

The Rat FOXO1 foxo1 (Catalog #AAA2020165) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2020165 ELISA Kit recognizes Rat FOXO1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Forkhead Box Protein O1 (FOXO1), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
