Related Product Information for GDF7 elisa kit
Intended Uses: This ELISA kit applies to the in vitro quantitative determination of Rabbit GDF7 concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to GDF7. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for GDF7 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain GDF7, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of GDF7. You can calculate the concentration of GDF7 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) family. BMPs belong to the transforming growth factor-beta superfamily of secreted signalling molecules that regulate diverse processes in growth, repair and embryonic development. In mouse, this gene functions as an inductive signal from the roof plate required for the specification of neuronal identity in the dorsal spinal cord. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

GDF7: May play an active role in the motor area of the primate neocortex. Belongs to the TGF-beta family.

Product Notes

The Rabbit GDF7 gdf7 (Catalog #AAA2507145) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2507145 ELISA Kit recognizes Rabbit GDF7. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GDF7, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
