Related Product Information for anti-GFP antibody
The Green Fluorescent Protein (GFP) from the jellyfish Aequorea victoria is used as a fluorescent indicator for monitoring gene expression in a variety of cellular systems, including living organisms and fixed tissues. Unlike other bioluminescent reporters, GFP fluoresces in the absence of substrates, cofactors, or other intrinsic or extrinsic proteins. Purified GFP is a 27 kDa monomer consisting of 238 amino acids and emits green light (emission maximum at 509 nm) when excited with blue or UV light.

Product Notes

The GFP (Catalog #AAA462051) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit anti GFP Polyclonal antibody reacts with Tag Antibody and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's GFP can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA, Immunoprecipitation (IP). Suggested Working Dilutions: WB: 0.1-1 ug/ml, ELISA: 0.01-0.1 ug/ml, IP: 2-5 ug/ml

Optimal dilutions should be determined by researchers for the specific applications. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GFP for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GFP, Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
