Related Product Information for PTGES3 recombinant protein
Prostaglandin E synthase 3 (PTGES3), also known as P23 or TEBP (Telomerase binding protein p23), is a ubiquitously expressed protein that functions as a cochaperone and plays an important role in signal transduction. This protein is a molecular chaperone that localizes to genomic response elements in a hormone-dependent manner and disrupts receptor-mediated transcriptional activation, by promoting disassembly of transcriptional regulatory complexes. Recombinant PTGES3 protein was expressed in E Coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes an enzyme that converts prostaglandin endoperoxide H2 (PGH2) to prostaglandin E2 (PGE2). This protein functions as a co-chaperone with heat shock protein 90 (HSP90), localizing to response elements in DNA and disrupting transcriptional activation complexes. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. There are multiple pseudogenes of this gene on several different chromosomes. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2016]

Uniprot Description

Cytosolic prostaglandin synthase that catalyzes the oxidoreduction of prostaglandin endoperoxide H2 (PGH2) to prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) (PubMed:10922363). Molecular chaperone that localizes to genomic response elements in a hormone-dependent manner and disrupts receptor-mediated transcriptional activation, by promoting disassembly of transcriptional regulatory complexes (PubMed:11274138, PubMed:12077419). Facilitates HIF alpha proteins hydroxylation via interaction with EGLN1/PHD2, leading to recruit EGLN1/PHD2 to the HSP90 pathway (PubMed:24711448).

Product Notes

The PTGES3 ptges3 (Catalog #AAA203477) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's Prostagladin E synthase 3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, SDS-PAGE. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PTGES3 ptges3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: MQPASAKWYD RRDYVFIEFC VEDSKDVNVN FEKSKLTFSC LGGSDNFKHL NEIDLFHCID PNDSKHKRTD RSILCCLRKG ESGQSWPRLT KERAKLNWLS VDFNNWKDWE DDSDEDMSNF DRFSEMMNNM GGDEDVDLPE VDGADDDSQD SDDEKMPDLE. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Prostagladin E synthase 3, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
