Related Product Information for PSPB elisa kit
Intended Uses: For the quantitative detection of Human Pregnancy Specific Protein B (PSPB) concentration in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with goat-anti-rabbit antibody. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with an antibody specific for PSPB and Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated PSPB. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between with HRP labeled PSPB and unlabeled PSPB with the antibody. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of PSPB in the sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

NCBI Description

The human pregnancy-specific glycoproteins (PSGs) are a group of molecules that are mainly produced by the placental syncytiotrophoblasts during pregnancy. PSGs comprise a subgroup of the carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) family, which belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. For additional general information about the PSG gene family, see PSG1 (MIM 176390).[supplied by OMIM, Oct 2009]

Product Notes

The Human PSPB psg5 (Catalog #AAA281400) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA281400 ELISA Kit recognizes Human PSPB. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Pregnancy Specific Protein B, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
