Usage Notes
* Do not mix components from different kit lots or use reagents beyond the kit expiration date.
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 2-8 degree C.

Related Product Information for PSPB elisa kit
Description: This Human Pregnancy Specific Protein B (PSPB) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate PSG5 in samples. An antibody specific for PSG5 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any PSG5 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for PSG5 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of PSG5 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Background: Pregnancy-specific protein B (PSPB), is secreted from binucleate trophoblast of the bovine conceptus as early as day 15 of pregnancy. This is the first indication that PSPB has a hormonal role in inducing GCP-2, an alpha chemokine that also is induced by interferon-tau during early pregnancy.

NCBI Description

The human pregnancy-specific glycoproteins (PSGs) are a group of molecules that are mainly produced by the placental syncytiotrophoblasts during pregnancy. PSGs comprise a subgroup of the carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) family, which belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. For additional general information about the PSG gene family, see PSG1 (MIM 176390).[supplied by OMIM, Oct 2009]

Product Notes

The Human PSPB psg5 (Catalog #AAA9714753) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9714753 ELISA Kit recognizes Human PSPB. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Pregnancy Specific Protein B (PSPB), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
