HT 1080 human fibrosarcoma cyplasmic lysate. This preparation serves as the Grp 75 positive control and produces a readily visible band of Grp 75 when using chemiluminescent detection on Western blots.
Preparation and Storage
Stable for several weeks at 4 degree C, several months at At -20 oC, and indefinitely at At -70 oC. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Background: Grp 75 (glucose regulated protein, 75 kDa) is generally recognized as a mitochondrial matrix protein belonging to the Hsp 70 (heat shock protein, 70 kDa) class of proteins. Grp 75 is induced under conditions of low glucose as well as other nutritional and environmental stresses. Grp 75 is involved in mitochondrial protein processing, antigen recognition and cell proliferation.
