Related Product Information for anti-CMPK1 antibody
CMPK1 plays a key role in the maintenance of pyrimidine nucleotide pool profile and for the metabolism of pyrimidine analogs in cells. It catalyzes the phosphoryl transfer from ATP to UMP, CMP, and deoxy-CMP (dCMP), resulting in the formation of ADP and the corresponding nucleoside diphosphate. CMPK1 also has a significant role in the activation of pyrimidine analogs, which are clinically useful anti-cancer and anti-viral drugs. In the meanwhile, CMPK1 functions in cellular nucleic acid biosynthesis.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes one of the enzymes required for cellular nucleic acid biosynthesis. This enzyme catalyzes the transfer of a phosphate group from ATP to CMP, UMP, or dCMP, to form the corresponding diphosphate nucleotide. Alternate splicing results in both coding and non-coding transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2012]

Uniprot Description

CMPK: Catalyzes specific phosphoryl transfer from ATP to UMP and CMP. Belongs to the adenylate kinase family.

Product Notes

The CMPK1 cmpk1 (Catalog #AAA8107282) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-UMP-CMP kinase/CMPK1 Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's UMP-CMP kinase/CMPK1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA), Immunoprecipitation (IP). WB: 1:500-1:2000 ELISA: 1:5000-1:10,000 IP: 1-4uL/mg of lysate. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CMPK1 cmpk1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "UMP-CMP kinase/CMPK1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
