Related Product Information for anti-TIPARP antibody
This gene encodes a member of the poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase superfamily. Studies of the mouse ortholog have shown that the encoded protein catalyzes histone poly (ADP-ribosyl)ation and may be involved in T-cell function. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes poly(ADP-ribosyl)transferase-like 1 protein, which is capable of catalyzing a poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation reaction. This protein has a catalytic domain which is homologous to that of poly (ADP-ribosyl) transferase, but lacks an N-terminal DNA binding domain which activates the C-terminal catalytic domain of poly (ADP-ribosyl) transferase. Since this protein is not capable of binding DNA directly, its transferase activity may be activated by other factors such as protein-protein interaction mediated by the extensive carboxyl terminus. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

TIPARP: Poly [ADP-ribose] polymerase using NAD(+) as a substrate to transfer ADP-ribose onto glutamic acid residues of a protein acceptor; repeated rounds of ADP-ribosylation leads to the formation of poly(ADPribose) chains on the protein, thereby altering the function of the target protein. May play a role in the adaptative response to chemical exposure (TCDD) and thereby mediates certain effects of the chemicals.

Protein type: EC 2.4.2.30; Transferase

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 3q25.31

Cellular Component: nucleus

Molecular Function: metal ion binding; NAD+ ADP-ribosyltransferase activity

Biological Process: estrogen metabolic process; androgen metabolic process; platelet-derived growth factor receptor signaling pathway; palate development; multicellular organismal metabolic process; post-embryonic development; smooth muscle development; protein amino acid ADP-ribosylation; nitrogen compound metabolic process; skeletal morphogenesis; positive regulation of protein catabolic process; hemopoiesis; kidney development; vasculogenesis; female gonad development

Product Notes

The TIPARP tiparp (Catalog #AAA9448235) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The TIPARP Conjugated Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TIPARP can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Most Applications. Suggested Dilution: AF350 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF405 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF488 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF555 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF594 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF647 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF680 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF750 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 Biotin conjugated: working with enzyme-conjugated streptavidin, most applications: 1:50-1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TIPARP tiparp for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TIPARP, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
