NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes an RGD-containing protein that binds to type I, II and IV collagens. The RGD motif is found in many extracellular matrix proteins modulating cell adhesion and serves as a ligand recognition sequence for several integrins. This protein plays a role in cell-collagen interactions and may be involved in endochondrial bone formation in cartilage. The protein is induced by transforming growth factor-beta and acts to inhibit cell adhesion. Mutations in this gene are associated with multiple types of corneal dystrophy. Uniprot Description
betaIG-H3: Binds to type I, II, and IV collagens. This adhesion protein may play an important role in cell-collagen interactions. In cartilage, may be involved in endochondral bone formation. By TGFB1. Highly expressed in the corneal epithelium.

Product Notes
The TGFBI tgfbi (Catalog #AAA421749) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Goat anti-TGFBI Antibody reacts with Tested: Human; Expected from sequence similarity: Human, Mouse, Rat, Dog and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TGFBI can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Peptide ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 32000. Immunohistochemistry: In paraffin embedded Kidney shows staining of intercalated cells of a collecting tubule. Recommended concentration, 4-6ug/ml. Western Blot: Approx 70kDa band observed in Human, Mouse and Rat Kidney lysates (calculated MW of 74.7kDa according to Human NP_000349.1). Recommended concentration: 0.2-0.5ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TGFBI tgfbi for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: QLYTDRTEKL RPE. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TGFBI, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
