Related Product Information for anti-TDRD9 antibody
Probable ATP-binding RNA helicase which plays a central role during spermatogenesis by repressing transposable elements and preventing their mobilization, which is essential for the germline integrity. Acts via the piRNA metabolic process, which mediates the repression of transposable elements during meiosis by forming complexes composed of piRNAs and Piwi proteins and govern the methylation and subsequent repression of transposons. Its association with PIWIL4 and the piP-bodies suggests a participation in the secondary piRNAs metabolic process.

Uniprot Description

TDRD9: Probable ATP-binding RNA helicase which plays a central role during spermatogenesis by repressing transposable elements and prevent their mobilization, which is essential for the germline integrity. Belongs to the DEAD box helicase family. DEAH subfamily. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Helicase; EC 3.6.4.13

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 14q32.33

Cellular Component: nucleus

Molecular Function: ATP binding; ATP-dependent RNA helicase activity

Biological Process: cell differentiation; DNA methylation during gametogenesis; fertilization; gene expression; male meiosis; multicellular organismal development; RNA processing; RNA-mediated gene silencing; spermatogenesis

Product Notes

The TDRD9 tdrd9 (Catalog #AAA969989) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The TDRD9 Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TDRD9 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TDRD9 tdrd9 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TDRD9, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
