Related Product Information for anti-TACC3 antibody
Function: Plays a role in the microtubule-dependent coupling of the nucleus and the centrosome. Involved in the processes that regulate centrosome-mediated interkinetic nuclear migration (INM) of neural progenitors (By similarity). Acts as component of the TACC3/ch-TOG/clathrin complex proposed to contribute to stabilization of kinetochore fibers of the mitotic spindle by acting as inter-microtubule bridge. The TACC3/ch-TOG/clathrin complex is required for the maintenance of kinetochore fiber tension (PubMed:21297582, PubMed:23532825). May be involved in the control of cell growth and differentiation. May contribute to cancer (PubMed:14767476).
Subunit Structure: Interacts with microtubules. Interacts with CKAP5 independently of clathrin. Interacts with CKAP5 and clathrin forming the TACC3/ch-TOG/clathrin complex located at spindle inter-microtubules bridges; TACC3 (phosphorylated at Ser-558 by AURKA) and CLTC are proposed to form a composite microtubule interaction surface (PubMed:21297582, PubMed:23918938, PubMed:25596274). Interacts with CCDC100/CEP120. The coiled coil C-terminal region interacts with AH receptor nuclear translocator protein (ARNT) and ARNT2 (By similarity). Interacts with GCN5L2 and PCAF (PubMed:14767476).
Similarity: Belongs to the TACC family.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the transforming acidic colied-coil protein family. The encoded protein is a motor spindle protein that may play a role in stabilization of the mitotic spindle. This protein may also play a role in growth a differentiation of certain cancer cells. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2011]

Product Notes

The TACC3 tacc3 (Catalog #AAA9606100) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The TACC3 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TACC3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemisty (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:500-1:1000 IHC: 1:50-1:200 IF/ICC: 1:100-1:500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TACC3 tacc3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TACC3, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
