NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
SHB: Adapter protein which regulates several signal transduction cascades by linking activated receptors to downstream signaling components. May play a role in angiogenesis by regulating FGFR1, VEGFR2 and PDGFR signaling. May also play a role in T-cell antigen receptor/TCR signaling, interleukin-2 signaling, apoptosis and neuronal cells differentiation by mediating basic- FGF and NGF-induced signaling cascades. May also regulate IRS1 and IRS2 signaling in insulin-producing cells. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: Adaptor/scaffold
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 4|4 B1
Cellular Component: cytoplasm; cytoplasmic ribonucleoprotein granule; cytosol; membrane; nucleoplasm; plasma membrane
Molecular Function: phosphotyrosine binding; SH3/SH2 adaptor activity
Biological Process: angiogenesis; apoptosis; B cell proliferation; blood vessel development; blood vessel morphogenesis; cell differentiation; hematopoietic stem cell proliferation; hemopoiesis; multicellular organism development; negative regulation of oocyte maturation; negative regulation of protein kinase activity; positive regulation of mitotic cell cycle; positive regulation of T-helper cell differentiation; signal transduction; T cell receptor signaling pathway

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Src Homology 2 Domain Containing Adapter Protein B (SHB), Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
