NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a coiled-coil domain containing protein. The encoded protein may play a critical role in actin-cytoskeletal reorganization during facial morphogenesis. Mutations in this gene are a cause of oblique facial clefting-1. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene. A read-through transcript composed of SPECC1L (sperm antigen with calponin homology and coiled-coil domains 1-like) and the downstream ADORA2A (adenosine A2a receptor) gene sequence has been identified, but it is thought to be non-coding. Uniprot Description
SPECC1L: Involved in cytokinesis and spindle organization. May play a role in actin cytoskeleton organization and microtubule stabilization and hence required for proper cell adhesion and migration. Defects in SPECC1L are the cause of facial clefting oblique type 1 (OBLFC1). A rare form of facial clefting. A facial cleft is any of the fissures between the embryonic prominences that normally unite to form the face. Belongs to the cytospin-A family.

Product Notes
The SPECC1L specc1l (Catalog #AAA9210195) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 705-733. The SPECC1 Antibody (Center) reacts with Human, mouse (Predicted Reactivity: Chicken, Zebrafish) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's SPECC1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunofluorescence (IF). WB~~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SPECC1L specc1l for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SPECC1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
