Rabbit anti-Human, Mouse SPAK Polyclonal Antibody | anti-SPAK antibody
SPAK, CT (STE20/SPS1-related Proline-alanine-rich Protein Kinase, Ste-20-related Kinase, Serine/Threonine-protein Kinase 39, DCHT, STK39, SPAK) (AP)
ELISA: 1:1,000
WB: 1:100-1:500
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of STK39 (arrow) using rabbit polyclonal STK39 Antibody (C-term). 293 cell lysates (2 ug/lane) either nontransfected (Lane 1) or transiently transfected with the STK39 gene (Lane 2) (Origene Technologies).)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of STK39 Antibody (C-term) polyclonal antibody in mouse liver tissue lysates (35ug/lane). STK39(arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human lung carcinoma tissue reacted with STK39 antibody (C-term), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a serine/threonine kinase that is thought to function in the cellular stress response pathway. The kinase is activated in response to hypotonic stress, leading to phosphorylation of several cation-chloride-coupled cotransporters. The catalytically active kinase specifically activates the p38 MAP kinase pathway, and its interaction with p38 decreases upon cellular stress, suggesting that this kinase may serve as an intermediate in the response to cellular stress. Uniprot Description
STLK3: May act as a mediator of stress-activated signals. The phosphorylated form forms a complex with WNK2. Predominantly expressed in brain and pancreas followed by heart, lung, kidney, skeletal muscle, liver, placenta and testis. Belongs to the protein kinase superfamily. STE Ser/Thr protein kinase family. STE20 subfamily.
Protein type: Kinase, protein; Protein kinase, STE; EC 2.7.11.1; Protein kinase, Ser/Thr (non-receptor); STE group; STE20 family; FRAY subfamily
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2q24.3
Cellular Component: cytoskeleton; basolateral plasma membrane; cytoplasm; apical plasma membrane; nucleus
Molecular Function: protein serine/threonine kinase activity; protein binding; protein kinase binding; ATP binding; receptor signaling protein serine/threonine kinase activity
Biological Process: peptidyl-serine phosphorylation; regulation of inflammatory response; positive regulation of potassium ion transport; peptidyl-threonine phosphorylation; response to stress; protein amino acid phosphorylation

Product Notes
The SPAK stk39 (Catalog #AAA6500106) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The SPAK, CT (STE20/SPS1-related Proline-alanine-rich Protein Kinase, Ste-20-related Kinase, Serine/Threonine-protein Kinase 39, DCHT, STK39, SPAK) (AP) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's SPAK can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). IHC: 1:10-1:50 ELISA: 1:1,000 WB: 1:100-1:500 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SPAK stk39 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SPAK, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
