Rabbit SDCBP Polyclonal Antibody | anti-SDCBP antibody
SDCBP Antibody (N-term)
as a molecule linking syndecan-mediated signaling to the
cytoskeleton. The syntenin protein contains tandemly repeated PDZ
domains that bind the cytoplasmic, C-terminal domains of a variety
of transmembrane proteins. This protein may also affect
cytoskeletal-membrane organization, cell adhesion, protein
trafficking, and the activation of transcription factors. The
protein is primarily localized to membrane-associated adherens
junctions and focal adhesions but is also found at the endoplasmic
reticulum and nucleus. Alternative splicing results in multiple
transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by
RefSeq].

NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene was initially identified as a molecule linking syndecan-mediated signaling to the cytoskeleton. The syntenin protein contains tandemly repeated PDZ domains that bind the cytoplasmic, C-terminal domains of a variety of transmembrane proteins. This protein may also affect cytoskeletal-membrane organization, cell adhesion, protein trafficking, and the activation of transcription factors. The protein is primarily localized to membrane-associated adherens junctions and focal adhesions but is also found at the endoplasmic reticulum and nucleus. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
syntenin: Seems to function as an adapter protein. In adherens junctions may function to couple syndecans to cytoskeletal proteins or signaling components. Seems to couple transcription factor SOX4 to the IL-5 receptor (IL5RA). May also play a role in vesicular trafficking. Seems to be required for the targeting of TGFA to the cell surface in the early secretory pathway. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The SDCBP sdcbp (Catalog #AAA9204695) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 1-30. The SDCBP Antibody (N-term) reacts with Human (Predicted Reactivity: Mouse, Rat) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's SDCBP can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). WB~~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SDCBP sdcbp for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SDCBP, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
