Related Product Information for anti-SAFB2 antibody
Scaffold attachment factor B1 (SAFB1) and SAFB2 are large, multifunctional proteins that have been implicated in numerous cellular processes including chromatin organization, transcriptional regulation, RNA splicing, and stress response. SAFB1 and SAFB2 function as estrogen receptor (ERalpha) co-repressors in breast cancer cells, and to affect many cellular processes such as stress response, RNA processing, and apoptosis. SAFB2 can be found in both the nucleus and cytoplasm, whereas SAFB1 seems to be mainly localized in the nucleus. In breast cancer cells, SAFBs function as estrogen receptor corepressors and growth inhibitors. SAFB1 and SAFB2 have also been implicated in breast tumorigenesis. SAFB protein expression is lost in approximately 20% of breast cancers. The two genes reside in close proximity, oriented head-to-head, on chromosome 19p13, a locus that is frequently lost in clinical breast cancer specimens.

Product Notes

The SAFB2 (Catalog #AAA8109697) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-SAFB2 Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's SAFB2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunofluorescence (IF). IHC-P: 1:50-1:200 ICC/IF: 1:100-1:500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SAFB2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SAFB2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
