Related Product Information for anti-SPACA1 antibody
The correlation of anti-sperm antibodies with cases of
unexplained infertility implicates a role for these antibodies in
blocking fertilization. Improved identification and treatment of
immunologic infertility, as well as identification of proteins for
targeted contraception, are dependent on the identification and
characterization of relevant sperm antigens. The protein expressed
by this gene is recognized by anti-sperm antibodies from infertile
males. Furthermore, antibodies generated against the recombinant
protein block in vitro fertilization. This protein localizes to the
acrosomal membrane of spermatids and mature spermatozoa where it is
thought to play a role in acrosomal morphogenesis and in sperm-egg
binding and fusion, respectively.

Product Notes

The SPACA1 spaca1 (Catalog #AAA9208412) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 46-74. The SACA1 Antibody (N-term) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's SACA1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). WB~~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SPACA1 spaca1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SACA1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
