Goat RICTOR Polyclonal Antibody | anti-RICTOR antibody
Goat anti-RICTOR Antibody
Immunohistochemistry: In paraffin embedded Kidney shows strong cytoplasmic staining of epithelial cells in distal convoluted tubules. Recommended concentration, 2-3ug/ml.
Western Blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx 38kDa band in Human Lung Carcinoma A549 cell line and cervix epitheloid carcinoma cell line HeLa lysates after 0.1ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 192kDa according to NP_689969.2. The 38kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
RICTOR and MTOR (FRAP1; MIM 601231) are components of a protein complex that integrates nutrient- and growth factor-derived signals to regulate cell growth (Sarbassov et al., 2004 [PubMed 15268862]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008]
Uniprot Description
RICTOR: a regulatory binding partner of the kinase mTOR. Part of a rapamycin-insensitive and raptor-independent pathway that regulates the cytoskeleton. Rictor interacts with Cullin1-Rbx1 to form an E3 ubiquitin ligase complex, and promotes ubiquitination and degradation of SGK1. Shares homology with pianissimo from D. discoidieum, STE20p from S. pombe, and AVO3p from S. cerevisiae.

Product Notes
The RICTOR rictor (Catalog #AAA421193) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Goat anti-RICTOR Antibody reacts with Tested: Human; Expected from sequence similarity: Human, Mouse, Dog and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's RICTOR can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Peptide ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 4000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the RICTOR rictor for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: KQPIVDTSAE S. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "RICTOR, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
