Related Product Information for anti-PITPNM3 antibody
This gene encodes a member of a family of membrane-associated phosphatidylinositol transfer domain-containing proteins. The calcium-binding protein has phosphatidylinositol (PI) transfer activity and interacts with the protein tyrosine kinase PTK2B (also known as PYK2). The protein is homologous to a Drosophila protein that is implicated in the visual transduction pathway in flies. Mutations in this gene result in autosomal dominant cone dystrophy. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of a family of membrane-associated phosphatidylinositol transfer domain-containing proteins. The calcium-binding protein has phosphatidylinositol (PI) transfer activity and interacts with the protein tyrosine kinase PTK2B (also known as PYK2). The protein is homologous to a Drosophila protein that is implicated in the visual transduction pathway in flies. Mutations in this gene result in autosomal dominant cone dystrophy. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Sep 2009]

Uniprot Description

PITPNM3: transfers phosphatidylinositol and phosphatidylcholine between membranes. Binds calcium ions. Interacts with Pyk2 via its C-terminus. Two splice-variant isoforms have been described.

Product Notes

The PITPNM3 pitpnm3 (Catalog #AAA3220930) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PITPNM3 Antibody - C-terminal region reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PITPNM3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PITPNM3 pitpnm3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Synthetic peptide located within the following region: FLRKRNHLRR TMSVQQPDPP AANPKPERAQ SQPESDKDHE RPLPALSWAR. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PITPNM3, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
