Purified by ammonium sulfate precipitation.
Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000
Western Blot: 1:50-1:100
Immunohistochemistry: 1:10-1:50
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of PCNA Antibody (C-term) in Jurkat, Hela, 293 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). PCNA (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of PCNA (arrow) using rabbit polyclonal PCNA Antibody (C-term) . 293 cell lysates (2 ug/lane) either nontransfected (Lane 1) or transiently transfected (Lane 2) with the PCNA gene.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human hepatocarcinoma tissue reacted with PCNA antibody (C-term) , which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
Immunofluorescence (IF)
(Confocal immunofluorescent analysis of PCNA Antibody (C-term) with Hela cell followed by Alexa Fluor 488-conjugated goat anti-rabbit lgG (green). DAPI was used to stain the cell nuclear (blue).)
Immunofluorescence (IF)
(Confocal immunofluorescent analysis of PCNA Antibody (C-term) with 293 cell followed by Alexa Fluor 488-conjugated goat anti-rabbit lgG (green).Actin filaments have been labeled with Alexa Fluor 555 phalloidin (red).DAPI was used to stain the cell nuclear (blue).)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is found in the nucleus and is a cofactor of DNA polymerase delta. The encoded protein acts as a homotrimer and helps increase the processivity of leading strand synthesis during DNA replication. In response to DNA damage, this protein is ubiquitinated and is involved in the RAD6-dependent DNA repair pathway. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene. Pseudogenes of this gene have been described on chromosome 4 and on the X chromosome. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
Function: This protein is an auxiliary protein of DNA polymerase delta and is involved in the control of eukaryotic DNA replication by increasing the polymerase's processibility during elongation of the leading strand
By similarity.
Subcellular location: Nucleus
By similarity.
Sequence similarities: Belongs to the PCNA family. RuleBase RU003671

Product Notes
The PCNA pcna (Catalog #AAA649992) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PCNA, CT (Proliferating Cell Nuclear Antigen, Cyclin) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PCNA can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry. Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000 Western Blot: 1:50-1:100 Immunohistochemistry: 1:10-1:50. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PCNA pcna for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PCNA, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
