Immunohistochemistry (IHC)

(Immunohistochemical analysis of NAV2 staining in human breast cancer formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.)

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the neuron navigator gene family, which may play a role in cellular growth and migration. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2011]

Uniprot Description

NAV2: an actin-binding protein involved in cell migration, actin cytoskeletal remodeling and neuronal development. Belongs to the Nav/unc-53 family. Interacts with Abi1 and the ARP2/3 complex. 13 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Actin-binding; Cytoskeletal

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 11p15.1

Product Notes

The NAV2 nav2 (Catalog #AAA8307391) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-NAV2 Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's NAV2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). WB: 1:500-1:2000 IHC: 1:50-1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NAV2 nav2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NAV2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
