Application Notes
Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 8000.
Western Blot: Approx.90 kDa band observed in Rat Testis lysates (calculated MW of 90.5 kDa according to Human NP_689811.2 and of 87.9 kDa according to Mouse NP_766156.2). Recommended concentration: 0.3-1ug/ml. An additional band of unknown identity was also consistently observed at 37 kDa. This band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunising peptide.
Immunogen
Peptide with sequence C-SRNYPQPRTEE, from the internal region of the protein sequence according to NP_001094345.1; NP_689811.2.
Epitope
Internal region
Note
This antibody is expected to recognise both reported isoforms (NP_001094345.1; NP_689811.2), which are identical.

NCBI Description

MARCH10 is a member of the MARCH family of membrane-bound E3 ubiquitin ligases (EC 6.3.2.19). MARCH enzymes add ubiquitin (see MIM 191339) to target lysines in substrate proteins, thereby signaling their vesicular transport between membrane compartments (Morokuma et al., 2007 [PubMed 17604280]).[supplied by OMIM, Apr 2010]

Uniprot Description

MARCH10: E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase (Probable). E3 ubiquitin ligases accept ubiquitin from an E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme in the form of a thioester and then directly transfer the ubiquitin to targeted substrates.

Protein type: Ubiquitin ligase; Ubiquitin conjugating system; EC 6.3.2.-; Ligase; EC 6.3.2.19

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 17q23.2

Molecular Function: ligase activity; protein binding; zinc ion binding

Biological Process: protein ubiquitination

Product Notes

The MARCH10 march10 (Catalog #AAA421725) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Goat anti-MARCH10 Antibody reacts with Tested: Rat; Expected from sequence similarity: Human, Rat, Cow and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MARCH10 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Peptide ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MARCH10 march10 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: SRNYPQPRTE E. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MARCH10, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
