Related Product Information for anti-IMPDH2 antibody
IMPDH2 belongs to the IMPDH/GMPR family. It catalyzes the NAD-dependent oxidation of inosine-5'-monophosphate into xanthine-5'-monophosphate, which is then converted into guanosine-5'-monophosphate. IMPDH2 is the rate-limiting enzyme in the de novo guanine nucleotide biosynthesis. It is thus involved in maintaining cellular guanine deoxy- and ribonucleotide pools needed for DNA and RNA synthesis. Also IMPDH1 and IMPDH2 are targets for the important immunosuppressive drug, mycophenolic acid (MPA).

NCBI Description

This gene encodes the rate-limiting enzyme in the de novo guanine nucleotide biosynthesis. It is thus involved in maintaining cellular guanine deoxy- and ribonucleotide pools needed for DNA and RNA synthesis. The encoded protein catalyzes the NAD-dependent oxidation of inosine-5'-monophosphate into xanthine-5'-monophosphate, which is then converted into guanosine-5'-monophosphate. This gene is up-regulated in some neoplasms, suggesting it may play a role in malignant transformation. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes

The IMPDH2 (Catalog #AAA6131872) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The IMPDH2 (Inosine-5'-monophosphate Dehydrogenase 2, IMP Dehydrogenase 2, IMPD 2, IMPDH 2, IMPDH-II, IMPD2) (AP) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's IMPDH2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Western Blot (WB). Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IMPDH2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IMPDH2, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
